Getting to Freeport
There are a few options if you’re out of driving range.
Freeport, ME is about twenty minutes north of the Portland Jetport. It’s a small and easy airport to use, and you can walk directly from baggage claim to the rental car terminal.
Boston (Logan) is about two hours away and offers many more options for direct flights and many more flights each day. You can rent a car in Boston and drive up or catch a bus to Portland via Concord Coach. Be sure to look out the window at the changing scenery. It’s beautiful!
Manchester, NH – If you’re a Southwest loyalist, you may find this to be a good option. It’s about an hour and a half from Freeport.
Getting Around
Access to a car is a necessity. Portland has many rideshare options, but Freeport has one Uber driver who is shared with two other towns. So please plan to rent a car or carpool with other guests! J
